How do I kill a vine growing next to my porch.?

I have tried all the weed killers and bleach to boot. nothing has worked. I dont want to keep using all these chemicals. does anyone know of something organic that might work.

Try covering the ground were it is growing with black plastic with a weight on top. Leave in place for 6 to 8 weeks. If it does not get light it can not live. It takes that long to kill the roots off. But if weed killers are not working must be germinating from more seeds in the soil. Have you tried Roundup.
Reply:Depending on what kind of vine you are referring to, there is one that can't be killed, that is called Buckwheat, the leaves look like the spade on a playing card, but elongated. the roots on those can run forever.
Reply:not organic.. but this works...... 2 c vinigar, 1 cup salt, 1 cup dish waser detergent, mix together and pour near roots......it works
Reply:Undiluted Roundup painted on with a brush will kill any green growing thing.

Reply:post a picture on photobucket. it will greatly increase your chances of getting helpful advice. you might have one of those vines that has multiple bulby roots, some of which are not sprouting at the time you applied the weed killer. try pouring lots of boiling water to a 3' radius all around the vine. do it until you no longer see it sprout. for god's sake, no more bleach--that's a soil poison.
Reply:What is the vine? I never heard of one that all the weed killers would not kill. You might have to dig it up.
