How do you prune a grape vine?

All you need to do is cut off all but your main branches.the main are the ones that are the thickist.Make sure vine is dried up sap wise for the winter.

If you want grapes from the vine, cut all the secondary branches off. leave only 1 branch.
Reply:Grape varieties like Thompson seedless should be cane-pruned. In California, most wine grapes are spur-pruned to form a cordon.
