How well will Trumpet or Cross Vine bloom in filtered to heavy shade?

I understand that they bloom best, of course in sun, but that they still possibly bloom okay in shaded areas?

Anyone have experience or definite knowledge about this?

Thanks for your answers!

I agree that Trumpet vine is very invasive. It does bloom best in sun but also will bloom in shade. I have some planted in sunny area and also shady area. I wish I never planted this very pretty vine. It is very hard to maintain. You just can't get rid of it. I think maybe the roots travel outward. Fran
Reply:Agree with Wood with the exception of sun requirements. Trumpet vines prefer full sun. They grow very quickly and can become quite invasive self seeding themselves.
Reply:Both are quite happy in moderate shade, some sun is required for photosynthesis,to avoid the foliage yellowing and falling.

Common English ivy,(hedera) is a rampant plant which would compete with the above.
