If you’re planting along a fence or a wall, you may need to improve the soil first. That’s especially true if you plant on the leeward side of the wall, which gets less rain than the windward side. Mix in plenty of organic matter, and mulch after planting to conserve moisture. For flowering vines, you may also want to add some bloom-boosting fertilizer to the soil.
Reply:you can grow a vine anywhere big prob is getting the grapes to come and then mature need right species for climate ask local nurseries they will give good advice
Reply:Buy a Villa in Italy with non limed soil, or send a sample of soil where you live now to a lab for testing and they will help you improve your soil to grow your Vine. I live in Spain I grow anything out here. ask me anything on Friut n Veg, n Vino.
Reply:Vines are great for easy cover, and their ability to grow in almost anything and any soil! Try morning glories, sweet potato vine, moon flowers, or black-eyed susan vines, and you don't have to worry about soil, water, or much of anything except what to have nearby to have them grab hold of! I have my entire back deck lined with different vines, and they provide shade, fragrance, and privacy, and it can be done with poor soil, or in containers! Happy vining! :)
Reply:TRY MORNING GLORIES!THEY ARE RAPID GROWERS AND DONT HAVE TO HAVE ANY SOIL TREATMENTS AND THEY BLOOM WILL PRETTY FLOWERS!
Reply:Buy a vineyard in Australia
