Big thorn tree/bush/vine needed to be taken down. Need ways to do this.?

Im in a bit of tiff with this hell spawn nature has put into this old ladys backyard. Im getting her house after she passes so Im cleaning the backyard as much as I can right now and Ive noticed this for years but never really did anything with it till it started kreeping into my yard.

Its big and ugly... It hurts when Im not aware that a part of it is held back and swings into my body part. Now Im having trouble reaching the high stuff. Right now its all over a fence in her back yard and the fence is about 5 feet length. The fence will have to be replaced due to damage and age. My biggest problem is that its been climbing up this tree and thats where its really ugly. Its everywhere.

I would do this with a ladder but the ladder would be in dirt, not stable thus me not climbing the ladder.

Is this going to require me actually renting a cherry picker or hiring a landscaping crew.. If they even do this kind of clean up...

If you don't want it and want to get rid of it entirely, the best thing to do is to get a saw or an ax and cut it through the main trunk near the ground, and let the top die. All the leaves will then fall off and the wood will dry out and be much easier to remove.
Reply:cut the tree/vine/bush at ground level all around the tree; make sure to get everything. Let things dry out for a few days and then start pulling it down. If you have rain after cutting, you will have to let it dry longer. the object is the dry out the fasteners the plant is using to cling to the tree. when dry, they break fairly easily, but you will still have to work to get all the branches down.
Reply:Play cowboy get a rope and lasso the critter and then tug like hell. might want to be prepared for a fall when it come loose big pillow good luck
