1.) how safe is it to live there?

2.) are the apartments cheeper??

it's pretty safe, but it's not cheap to live. l.a. has become expensive these past few years. good luck. there's plenty of entertainment there, including amoeba music (record store) where anybody who's anyone goes there.
Reply:It's not as seedy as it used to be. It's generally okay, just use common sense.

Reply:If you want to live at Sunset and Vine, hope you are not a prostitute or drug dealer. That what you will see the evenings, along with all weirdos and drug addicts .



Used to live in Hollywood (many yrs ago) move to Westwood, I will NEVER go back and live in this neighborhood.
Reply:It is a little seedy. But it is safe if you remain aware of people around you and besure to use your locks.
Reply:I lived at a monthly motel there for bit. It was the seediest most depraved place I have ever lived. The parking situation was a nightmare.
