It might be zucchini. They are hardy and look like cucumbers.

Good vegetable for many recipes.

Reply:Have you cut one open yet? It actually could be a number of things but Luffas look just like cucumbers but hanging! They have a pic on Wiki here:

Otherwise it may just be a different species of Cuke theres loads of em! Plus Gourds
