How would English Ivy and Cross or Trumpet Vine do on the same trees?

Just curious, if they each were planted near a tree at the same time in Spring, how would they grow together?

Anyone have any knowledge or experience on this?

thanks for your answers!

They would certainly not kill the tree. Ivy tends to grow faster where a tree is sick already because it allows more light to the trunk. This gives the appearance that the ivy has killed the tree.

After all that let's look at the question. I think they will do fine as long as the vine has enough water. You may need to keep an eye that the ivy does not overwhelm the vine.
Reply:they would all have the same effect and that is to kill the tree
Reply:English grows slow but if you want a faster growth go for fig Ivy it is what they use for the lawn bushes you know the ones that look like animals . all that is is a frame and the fig ivy trained to it
