Is a rose the "goodness" and it's thorny vine, evil...?

or does the "vine" protect the roses beauty?

This is a "synonym" question...

...your thoughts?

Is a rose the "goodness" and it's thorny vine, evil...?
a rose wouldn't be as beautiful, and it would probably be extincted without the protection of the thorns.
Reply:throns could be its protective shield for the intruders, its also a way of God of showing us His equality amongst men, each and everyone of us has its thorns deep within, even the loveliest rose is no exemption, even butterflies that often we chase and try to put under glass as an ornament.
Reply:The thorns protect the rose. Or viewing the rose as an entire plant, the thorns are the undesireable characteristics.
