Try Seven Dust.
Reply:An easy home solution is to add a few drops of Dawn with water into a spray bottle. Spray the entire plant including uder the leaves.

Good luck! Report It
Reply:Spray gasoline over plant. Add a lighted match and see why they are called fire ants. Report It
Reply:Orange rinds. Sounds weird, but it works. Grate the orange rind really finely and spray it onto the plant (to make a spray, add a little water to the rinds and put it in a spray bottle).
Reply:Dawn dish soap and warm water in a big sprayer. Worked for me...
Reply:You can buy ladybugs from a good gardening store. Set them free in your vineyard at sundown (that's when they settle in for the night - they're more likely to stick around) and as long as there are aphids to eat they'll stay and eat them.

I believe you can also get a pod of praying mantises. They'd feed on your ants. You should be able to get that at the gardening store as well.
Reply:The person who suggested soap and water was on the right track, but I found the soap HAS to be dish detergent..kills both, and its safe.
Reply:Ladybugs eat aphids, and dragonflies eat ants. I'm not sure how you're going to get them, but that's the only thing I can think of. Either that or some pesticide/trap.
Reply:Go to a home store like Home Depot or Lowes, or even a garden place or proffessional extermination service. THey might be able to tell you something. Or look on like one of those HGTV or DIY sites. They might have some advice.
Reply:Hard spray of water.

Or add a little bit of soap to some water and spray them down with that. Aphids are fragile.
Reply:There's a product called "Insecticidal Soap" especially for this. It's safe for the environment too. You can find it at any garden or home improvement center.
