What is a fast growing flowering vine?

I'm adding a pergola to the side of my house and wanted to have to have some nice vines grow on it. do grape vines grow fast? how about jasmine? And what about Ivy?

What is a fast growing flowering vine?
I grow both jasmine and ivy. The jasmine is really fast growing and in just one season has completely covered large a wrought iron trellis. The ivy is in the shade and maybe that is why is doesn't grow quite as fast.
Reply:Try a climatis. They die back in the winter, but look gorgeous in the spring %26amp; summer months. Even climbing roses would be nice.
Reply:Morning glories grow like wild fire and have a beautiful med size purple flower. Grapes grow slowly and are not too attractive they do not adhear to a wall as well as the morning glories if you are putting it up on a wall attach lines of wire so the plant knows where to grow, but watch out they do grow fast and furious
Reply:Plant both Morning Glory and Moonflower. They will climb in no time, and you'll have colorful morning blooms, and huge, fragrant evening blooms.
Reply:Mandivilla is a great vine that grows very fast - However unless you live in a coastal area it is an annual only(you will have to replant every year) Try clematis, jasmine,. Or look up Jackson Vine- here is an attached link. See if it will grow in your area

wisteria vines, silver lace and sweet autumn clematis are also good choices. grape vines and boston ivy grow very fast

jasmine is also good but I live in zone 6 it would live through our winter
Reply:Clematis. Different colors and comes back year after year.
