My potato vine has what looks like tiny barnicols white with pink dots. Imagine a tiny volcano shape. Help!?

Do I have to rip out my vines which cover my arbor or do I need to spray them?

Reading about them it sounds like what scientists use to study Scale insects is to raise them on potato vines
Reply:Potato bugs aka Colorado potato beetle, larva. The beetle will be gold with back stripes and just as hungry as there larva. Just about any insecticide will work, they're easy to kill. RScott
