What type of perenial colorful vine can i plant that will cover a chain link fence?
Parthenocissus quincifolia (sorry can't remember the english name) has green foliage that turns red in fall and produces berries that the birds like.

Clematis (many many varieties) come in all different colours

Roses smell great

Trumpet vines have huge flowers that attract hummingbirds

hope this helps

ps these all need full sun btw

**morning glories and Ivy are highly invasive**
Reply:omg my favorite is the clematis,,they come in different colors and every year they get bigger...you probably seen them around peoples mail boxes very big purple flowers...they grow up the fence around telephone poles they are climbers so beautiful
Reply:english ivy but also a good choice is nandina they cover well and you can hardly see the fence.
Reply:all of the above and

star jasmine - white - incredible smell

snail vine - purple

mandevilla? - pink

clematis makes the coolest flower
Reply:Morning Glories will do it.
Reply:Honey scukel, ducthemans pipe, english ivy
Reply:My chain link is covered with trumpet vine. Flowers are orange but I think they come in other colors. Hummingbirds love it. It blooms off and on all summer. Leaves are gone in winter but the wood is gnarly and twisted and interesting to look at. m
Reply:Jasmine smells like a good answer. Be nice to know where you live, (continent, region).
Reply:Clematis is very nice and comes in different colors.
Reply:Trumpet vine is gorgeous with tons of orange bugel like flowers in the summer....

I just planted this porcelain vine, it's a member of the grape family and is supposedly a good grower.

Honeysuckle is prettty foolproof as well....
Reply:Clematis.
