What is a long blooming self clinging vine to grow up a masonry wall?

I know the options are limited, but would like something that would bloom for a long period and grow reasonably fast and be able to support itself without a lattice.

What are the options?

and could you tell me when and for how long they bloom for?

Thanks for your answers!

I have always liked the climbing Hydrangea. The have four season appeal but they can take a long time to become established, Hydrandea petiolaris
Reply:Passiflora - passionflower, exotic and fast growing - and fruits.
Reply:ivy like the kind out in Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Reply:what zone, what sun light

sorry but I need more infor
Reply:I would call it a weed and detrimental to your masonry. English or Boston Ivy will grow up a wall, but will cause the masonry to deteriorate by slowly cracking bits of it away. You would be better off mounting a trellace a couple inches away from the wall to grow something on. Two common plants are a climbing rose and clematis, (Ivy doesn't bloom).
