I suggest a climbing hydrangea. It is advised to plant them on the east side of a house. I just bought one and planted it today in a semi-shaded area on the west side. On the east side, the plant would get only morning sun, and the rest of the day would be shaded. Good luck.
Reply:Trumpet flowers / trumpet vine. It grows incredibly fast, 5 feet high in just a couple weeks, 20 feet by the end of summer, it can grow in any light, and it's bright orangey-red flowers attract hummingbirds %26amp; butterflies.

One caution........ it does grow like crazy, so you do have to trim it back every now and then, or it will take over.
Reply:Silver Lace vine. I had one that grew up my deck and over the top in 2 years with very little sun. Wonderful white flowers.
Reply:Trumpet vine is wonderful if you keep it in check. If your climate is one liked by the vine-- look out!! It will take years and years to kill it.

good luck

(I always get wonderful plants from this woman)
Reply:Hey, my 10 year old daughter and I really love the Morning Glory. You need a trellis or fence and they reseed themselves in region 3. Watch out though they will take over. My Wagillia bush almost did not survive after being over run by it. It will choke out other plants. On the flip side, they are very beautiful and lots of grennery too. Or another great flower is the honeysuckle.
