How many watermelons per vine should you have?

should you have a certain amount of watermelons per vine, so the watermelons will grow to the appropriate size and sweetness or is pinching off excess fruit unnecessary?

How many watermelons per vine should you have?
It really depends on where you live. Watermelons need a lot of heat to ripen and need to be watered regularly.

If you have a "short" summer season, it is best to cut off the tips of the vines after a couple of watermelons appear. Then the plant can put it's energy into ripening those few melons. Otherwise, it will use a LOT of energy on growing longer vines, more flowers and more melons that won't ripen before the season is over!!!

Good Luck!!
Reply:As long as the vine is well fed, let it support all the fruit it can.

Give it bone meal to feed those blossoms and roots
