Why don't my trumpet vine blossom?

Trumpet vines are one of those wonderful plants that grow best with neglect. Just lots of sunshine. No fertilizer though, you will just get leaves. They also do fine in dought.

Why don't my trumpet vine blossom?
I planted two vines of this type myself this spring.I'm getting lots of leaves and runners but no flowers yet.I believe they must become very well established before they begin to bloom.I'm going to keep a close eye on your question,so maybe i can learn something too.
Reply:Have you tried feeding it with a product such as Miracle Gro? It really has helped some of my plants bloom when I thought there were no blooms to be had.
Reply:Possibly not enough sun or too much fertilizer. Fertilizer makes the leaves grow but not the flowers.
Reply:Needs sunny location , lots of water and fertilizer
