What is the difference between a vine and a tree?

a vine is any plant having a long, slender stem that trails or creeps on the ground or climbs by winding itself about a support or holding fast with tendrils or claspers.

a tree is a plant having a permanently woody main stem or trunk, ordinarily growing to a considerable height, and usually developing branches at some distance from the ground.

What is the difference between a vine and a tree?
A tree comes from the ground and the vine comes from the tree.
