What are the little yellow egg sacks on my vine from? How do I get rid of them without destroying my vine?

I have nice vines growing up a trellis and a few days ago I noticed a few yellow things that look like egg sacks on a couple of the shoots. Today the shoots are covered at the top. The little buggers are moving too.

What insect is this and how do I get rid of all of them without destroying my whole vine?

I also have houseplants outside. Will these things start attacking them too?

Please don't spray anything until you find out what it really is! It could be a beneficial insect, like lady bug eggs, or larvae. If you are not sure what they look like, then take some to your local extension office and see if they can tell you what it is!

Then again, it could be a bad insect, or something. If you have a better description, this would help. I would just take it to the local extension office.
Reply:Aphids... that makes more sence than butterfly eggs! More glad that you found out yu had aphids, now you can spray!!! Report It

Reply:Urgh!!

My nan used to spray her plants with a solution of washing up liquid and water. Not tried it myself, but it is rumoured to work...
Reply:You could be dealing with Catapillars, or spider sacks. To get rid, you to need to separate them from the plants carefully, and just chuck them away. If you anti-bug, you could squash, drown to terminate thier little lives, or you could just chuck em out the window, and let em survive!
Reply:well poke it a pin or something sharp... it will cause minimum pain to the plant.
