I need a recommendation for a hearty, fast growing vine.?

I am looking for a vine that I can plant in my gravel driveway. I see weeds growing there, so I know it's possible for something to grow, but I need something that will be easy to plant and will grow up the side of the deck.

I need a recommendation for a hearty, fast growing vine.?
wisteria
Reply:Virginia Creeper - not evergreen, unfortunately. Perhaps, an attractive variegated variety of Ivy.
Reply:Careful. Some vines grow really fast but you can never get rid of them. Ever! How about a bouganvelia? They grow like weeds, don't need a lot of water and provide color almost year round.
Reply:there is a plant called ever green trumpet vine or honeysuckel vines that grow very fast and take over.
Reply:Try morning glories. Soak the seeds in warm water overnight and just sprinkle them in the area you want them to grow. Once they are established they will self seed and expand(or take over). There is at lest 5 different color flowers to choose from.
Reply:I have a trumpet vine. It spans a fence about 30 feet and is climbing over the top and between the cracks. (wooden fence)

It has bright orange flowers(about 5" long) that hummingbirds love. It will truly take over. It dies completely back in the winter.
Reply:Star jasmine or Pink jasmine or Passion flower

One of the other responders suggested bougainvillea, but it's not a true vine and would need to be tied and trained to go where you want it to. A true vine self clings by winding around, or sticking to whatever it's next to.
